Description of Business
FOXTEL’s story is one of consistent commitment to creativity and innovation that focuses carefully on consumers. FOXTEL continues to grow its subscriber base, revenues and profits through product appeal and innovation, as well as exceptional service.

We began with 20 channels in 1995, expanded to 31 channels in 1999 and increased our offerings to 45 channels in 2002. FOXTEL launched its FOXTEL Digital service in 2004, giving Australian viewers the choice of more than 100 digital channels. FOXTEL continues to add new channels and interactive features, including additional news, sports and weather applications, as well as FOXTEL iQ, a fully integrated Personal Digital Recorder, launched in 2005.

FOXTEL will continue to create new entertainment horizons for Australian consumers and raise their expectations of television with a variety of new product releases. In 2008, FOXTEL’s new High Definition (HD) service begins operation; FOXTEL will also launch its new iQ2.

FOXTEL is committed to expanding its HD+ service, with plans to launch a brand new satellite in 2009 and increased cable capacity access for our consumers.
