Los Angeles, CA (February 9, 2010) – Fox Soccer Channel’s coverage
of the 2009/10 UEFA Champions League resumes with four live and exclusive match
telecasts in high-definition* from the Round of 16, beginning Tuesday, Feb. 16.
Following its winter hiatus, the world’s most prestigious club soccer
competition returns with the thrilling Knockout Stage. Next Tuesday’s coverage
on Fox Soccer Channel begins with UEFA Champions League Pregame live at 2 p.m.
ET - simulcast on FSN - featuring a breakdown of the day’s up-coming action from
expert analysts Warren Barton and Bobby McMahon.
That leads into a showdown between France’s Olympique Lyonnais and Spanish giant
Real Madrid live at 2:45 p.m. ET. Madrid’s world-renowned players Cristiano
Ronaldo, Kaká, and Karim Benzema help make them the favorite in this two-legged
battle.
On Wednesday Feb. 17, reigning Portuguese champion FC Porto hosts Arsenal, the
London-based club featuring superstars including Andrei Arshavin, Eduardo da
Silva and Cesc Fabregas.
Live coverage continues on Tuesday, Feb. 23 as Olympiacos takes on FC Girondins
de Bordeaux at 2:45 p.m. ET in the opening leg of their series. Bordeaux is
currently atop the French League and was the surprise winner of Group A,
although the Greeks have proven to be very strong in UEFA Champions League
competition.
Round of 16 action culminates Wednesday, Feb. 24 on Fox Soccer Channel with a
tantalizing match-up between three-time defending Italian Serie A champion Inter
Milan and current Barclays Premier League leader Chelsea. The clash features two
teams with long histories of success, although only Inter has tasted European
glory with consecutive titles in 1964 and 1965.
Fox Soccer Channel will set the table for its live Round of 16 coverage with a

Stage, beginning at 9:00 a.m. ET on Monday, Feb. 15.
