Los Angeles, CA (February 17, 2010) – In support of Black History
Month this February, Fox Soccer Channel will join with the National Soccer
Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and the Black Soccer Coaches Committee
(BSCC) to honor and discuss the contributions African Americans have made to the
beautiful game.
During the Monday, Feb. 22 edition of Fox Football Fone-In from 7-9 p.m. ET,
guest host Mark Rogondino and Eric Wynalda – a member of the National Soccer
Hall of Fame – welcome actor Louis Gossett Jr. to the studio. Gossett has
appeared in films, television and on Broadway in iconic works including Raisin
in the Sun and Officer and a Gentleman, for which he won an Academy Award® for
Best Supporting Actor.
Joining Fox Football Fone-In’s Black History month celebration via telephone

For six years, Fox Football Fone-In has given passionate soccer supporters an

topical issues during the weekly live call-in show. Next week’s discussion of
African Americans in soccer is particularly significant considering the FIFA
World Cup™ will be held on the African continent in 2010 for the first time in
its 72-year history.
Set in a radio-style studio, Fox Football Fone-In – which airs every Monday from
7-9 p.m. ET – gives passionate soccer fans the ultimate say, and provides a live
and dynamic forum for soccer enthusiasts to share their views on a variety of
