FOXSoccer.com Kicks Off 2010 FIFA World Cup with Massive Traffic

Los Angeles, CA (June 17, 2010) – Fox Soccer Channel’s website, Foxsoccer.com, has ridden the tidal wave of excitement during the opening week of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™, logging over 86 million page views and 4.2 million unique visitors over the first five days of the tournament (June 11-15).

With an average of 17.2 million page views per day, this growth in traffic for Foxsoccer.com shows that the world’s most-watched sporting event is also shaping up to be a transformative digital experience. Total page views are up 28% compared to the first five days of the 2006 FIFA World Cup™.

Between June 11 and June 15, the 4.2 million unique visitors viewed more than 20 pages each on average, spending 12 minutes and 34 seconds on the site. Live match scoring pages are clocking an average of over 26 minutes per visitor, 200-300% more time than similar applications for other sports.
