London, 20 April 2010 – News Corporation announced today it has
completed the sale of bTV, its Bulgarian terrestrial TV business, to Central
European Media Enterprises (CME), the leading broadcaster in Central and
Eastern Europe, for $400 million plus a payment of $13 million for a working
capital adjustment. Regulatory clearance from the Bulgarian Competition
Authority was received on April 8, 2010.
This sale completes News Corporation's programme of exiting its Eastern
European free-to-air broadcasting businesses.
